Steroid levels in womb linked with autism risk, study suggests

A recent study conducted by scientists from the University of Cambridge, and published in the journal Molecular Psychiatry, suggests that autism risk may be linked with exposure to inordinately high steroid levels in the womb; namely, unusually high exposure to progesterone, cortisol and testosterone.
