When it comes to exercise, smartphones can be used for good (check out these fitness apps, for instance). But a small new study shows that they could also have a negative effect on our physical fitness levels. Researchers from Kent State University found that the more college students are glued to their smartphones, the less fit they tend to be. The study, published in the International Journal of Behavioral Nutrition and Physical Activity, included more than 300 college students from the Midwest.
